About

Hello! I’m Heather!

I'm the writer behind this blog.

I’m a 26 year old fourth year medical student! When I started this blog, I was finishing up my gap year as a nursing assistant. Now I'm enjoying the fourth and final year of medical school!

Although I was born and raised in Cincinnati, I have spent the last four years living it up in Bloomington, Indiana - Home of the Indiana Hoosiers and my alma mater!  I had the time of my life at IU but now my husband and I call Indianapolis "home."

This blog was started for three reasons:

To document my life as a medical student
To share my journey to becoming a healthier, more balanced person
To stay in touch with friends and family

Everything else is just extra!  A lot of what you read will be my crazy ramblings - things I enjoy, what’s going on in my life, the weather, what I ate today, and my ever changing hair color.

I’m a diehard girly girl with an eye for all things that sparkle. I love the color pink, watching movies, reading, makeup, traveling, concerts, watching most sports, history, politics, science, weddings, shopping, crafting, brunch all day, hanging out with my friends & family, reality TV, dancing, and of course, the love of my life and my best friend & husband, Mr. Nick!
